My Favorite Online Work at Home Jobs
Here are my favorite online work-at-home jobs.
⭐️ 1. Sell Digital Products Online
I am partial to this option because it allowed me to replace my full-time income and quit my full-time job. Digital products are anything that can be delivered virtually. They are great because they can save you the time, cost, and energy it takes to ship physical items. Examples of digital products include worksheets, printable art, digital planners, printable cards, spreadsheets, software, e-books, templates, courses, etc. My first digital product was a budget planner that I sold for under $5 on Etsy. What’s great about digital products is that you can go from idea to product for sale in as little as an hour.
? Hot Tip: The fastest way to sell digital products online is to put them on a website with a lot of traffic (like Etsy). Want to learn more about selling digital products on Etsy? Learn from people that have already done it to save yourself a lot of time! You can learn more about the course I took (and highly recommend) here.

2. Sell Physical Products Online
Another option is to sell physical products online. For example, you can find products at yard sales or thrift stores and resell them online on sites like eBay. Another option is to purchase in-demand products in bulk and resell them online. Finally, you can create your own website or simply sign up to sell it through Amazon.
🔥 Hot Tip: Check search volume for your product ideas on Pinterest Trends and Google Trends. This will help you get a clue as to how successful your business will be. Remember, the more people searching for your product, the better!
3. Virtual Assistant
Business owners are busy, and many need highly capable people to help them with their everyday tasks. Virtual assistants generally work on various tasks, including but not limited to checking, sorting, and responding to emails, invoicing customers, bookkeeping, scheduling meetings, entering data, making phone calls, making travel arrangements, planning events, and so on.
🔥 Hot Tip: If you know a busy business owner, give them a call. Then, ask them if they have any projects you could work on for them. Remember, the first client is the hardest to get, but after that, you can use them as a reference which will make future clients easier to get. Upwork and Fiverr are great places for you to market yourself as well.
4. Freelance Writer
In the day and age of content marketing, there are tons of businesses looking for high-quality informational content. They use this to help drive organic traffic to their website. Freelance writers can work on blog articles, magazines, e-books, social media posts, email marketing, etc.
🔥 Hot Tip: If you’re an expert on a subject, don’t be afraid to reach out to a company with a blog related to your expertise and interests. You can send them an email and pitch them your interest in freelance writing for them. Upwork is a great place to look for freelance writing opportunities as well.
5. Editor
If you are great at spotting errors and don’t have the time for extensive research, you might be better off doing editing or proofreading. There are many work-from-jobs available in this field, and as long as you have excellent attention to detail and grammar skills, you can thrive by editing and proofreading.
🔥 Hot Tip: Think about who your target market is, and go where they hang out. For example, do you want to help college students by proofreading their papers before they turn them in? If so, go to colleges and market your service there. Or, are you interested in helping new business owners not embarrass themselves with typos on their website? If that’s the case, maybe some business networking events will help you find new business.
6. Blogger
You probably have valuable tips and information to share based on your knowledge, passions, and experience. If this is the case, you could start a blog where you help make things easy for people. In addition, you can monetize your content with affiliate marketing, pay-per-click (PPC) ads, and pay-per-impression (PPI) ads.
🔥 Hot Tip: As a blogger myself, here’s something that took me entirely too long to learn: if you want to make money from your blog, you need to start with the strategy you’ll use to make money. Once you have that down, you can use that strategy to help determine what content you should create to get the most bang for your buck.

7. Teach/Tutor
If you love to teach children, you can become an online tutor. Many sites now match English-speaking adults with international students who want to improve their English skills. Teaching English as a second language is not your only option for earning a part- or full-time income from home. Parents everywhere seek online tutors in math, science, history, and more. And if you have a creative streak and are skilled in music or art, you could teach students how to play an instrument, draw, or paint.
🔥 Hot Tip: Focus on an area that aligns with your strengths. Working from a place of strength will help you be more engaged when teaching, which will help you get positive reviews and hopefully word-of-mouth referrals.
8. Remote Employee Jobs
A lot of the options listed so far are independent contractor-type jobs. While these offer flexibility and often higher pay, they can feel scary at times because the work is not guaranteed. If a full-time employee relationship is more your style, there are now more remote jobs than ever before! You can find a ton of them on Indeed here.
9. Amazon Work from Home Jobs
When you think of a major company like Amazon, you may be thinking of working in their warehouses. However, Amazon too has work-from-home jobs. You can learn more about their online work-from-home jobs here.
The Bottom Line
There are thousands of online work-from-home jobs. So whether you are looking to create your own job for ultimate flexibility or you want to work remotely for a large business, the options are out there. Our best advice: keep your eyes peeled and be ready to jump on the opportunity when it presents itself.
